What is ACUPUNCTURE
Jing Luo as it is translated as meridian which connect all the tissues and vessels of human body and regulate life energy flow. There are twelves major meridians channels trans passing from top to feet. Acupuncture (Zhen Jiu), a directly translation is needle treatment, was used to practice Jing Luo medicine. It was originated from ancient China as a medical treatment and has been 5000 years history. It has been widely spread in many regions and counties in
East as well as in Europe, such as Korea, Japan, Russia, Israel, many other countries. Millions of people in the world have been benefited from it.
The tools for acupuncture are these fine needles, which can be in different length and thickness. Currently, they are disposable needles. The procedure of acupuncture is to insert hair-thin needles into the body at specific points (acupuncture point, XUE WEi), thereby stimulating and activating the body's self-healing mechanisms.
Acupuncture is growing dramatically in US as an alternative medical treatment. More than one million Americans are currently receiving acupuncture each year. In November 1997 a committee of experts at the National Health Institute gave their medical endorsement to the use of acupuncture as the treatment for a variety of conditions.
How Acupuncture/ works and how do I feel it during/after the treatment
In ancient Chinese medicine theory, Qi, or life energy, is seen as flowing through the well defined channels and distinct meridians (JING LUO), which cover the human body. Each illness or disorder is caused by the blockages or disturbance of the natural energy/Qi-flow in your body. The goal of acupuncture or Qigong is to clear the blockage and refresh your life energy, or Qi circulation in the body. Acupuncture points regulate and restore the harmonious
energetic balance of the body.
The procedure is very simple and the result is profound:
The patent sit or lie down on a bed depends which part of your body will get the needle. Relax and rest. Needles currently used are one time usage disposable needles.
After you feel a small pinch, the needle is inserted into your body. The pain of the needle pinch is very light and bearable. Then, the needle need to stay in that position for about 15-30 minutes. Most of time, there are several needles applying to several different acupuncture points during one treatment. At this moment, you already feel very peaceful, relaxed, sleepy. Meanwhile, you may feel some points as heaviness, mild cramping, or electric sensation. Some points may have stronger feeling than others. Most patients find an acupuncture treatment profoundly peaceful and relaxing.
After treatment, you may feel rest a little, mostly you may feel tired, fatigue. It is a process of your body relaxation. However, after a nap or a night sleep, you feel your body very relaxed, light. You have a good quality sleep. Your symptom disappeared or you feel much better. For some people who can sensitive the body energy, they can feel the Qi restoring through the acupuncture points, feeling the energy vibration in the body especially when lying on the bed before sleep.
